Homemade Goodness--Pizza Crust

As I continue my personal mission--breaking away from convenience food items to save $$ on groceries AND make healthier alternatives at home--I made No Rise Pizza Crust for our pizza night last week.

Five out of 6 liked it and that makes it a keeper for me. So far I haven't won over my youngest daughter with homemade pizza, but the rest of the family likes it. Previously I've used a no knead pizza crust recipe, which the same 5 liked, too.

However, my Best Beloved prefers thin crust pizza, and this week's no rise pizza crust recipe was more thin-crust style. Plus, as I'm gradually moving towards healthier alternatives for homemade goodies, I made the crust with unbleached all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour.

Since I'm transitioning from all-purpose to wheat flour, mixing the two helps transition my family to the changes. Yes, they noticed the dough looked different, but they liked the thinner crust and taste, too.

This week, I think I'm going to try homemade pizza sauce and crust for pizza night. We'll see what my taste testers think of that transition.

Do you have a favorite pizza sauce recipe to share? I'd love to hear about it!
